Née le 22 mai 1988 à Lyon, Bénédicte Castillo est une danseuse - chorégraphe. Elle a commencé à danser à l'âge
de 10 ans. Bien déterminée à se faire une place dans le monde de la danse, elle décide d'arrêter ses études de droit
et de sciences politiques pour se consacrer totalement à la danse.
Elle a suivi une formation de danse à Lyon (Lyon Ballet Pascale Courdioux & Academia studio).
Elle décide par après de monter à Paris pour commencer sa carrière professionnelle. Elle se fera repérer
en 2007 par le chorégraphe Kamel Ouali en participant au casting pour la comédie musicale "Cléopâtre".
Il lui donnera aussi l'opportunité de danser pendant toute la huitième édition de la Star Academy sur TF1.
Juste après "Cléopâtre" Bénédicte a participé à un opéra "Magdalena" au théâtre du Châtelet à Paris.
Depuis qu'elle est montée à Paris, Bénédicte a eu l'occasion de travailler avec plusieurs artistes tels que Nicole Scherzinger, Shy'm, Florence Foresti, Jenifer, Christophe Willem, Lorie, Michaël Youn, Jean Roch ou encore Matt Pokora pour qui elle
a dansé notamment sur sa dernière tournée "À la poursuite du bonheur Tour".
Elle a aussi gagné pas mal d'expérience télévisuelle en participant à des émissions comme x Factor Uk.

Elle a aussi fait une brève apparition dans le film "Stars 80".
En Février 2013 elle repart à l'assaut de Los-Angeles, elle a ainsi eu l'occasion de travailler avec Bonnie McKee.
Bénédicte est aussi professeur de danse et donne des cours lors de stages dans plusieurs villes de France.

Born May 22, 1988 in Lyon, France, Bénédicte Castillo is a professional dancer and choreographer. With a passion for the art of dance, she started dancing at the age 10 years old. Determined to get a place in the world of dance, she stopped studying law and political science to devote himself entirely to dance. Bénédicte trained as a dancer in Lyon (at Lyon Ballet Pascale Courdioux & Academia studio) and then moved to Paris to pursue her professional career at the age of 17.
In 2007, while at her first audition, Bénédicte’s talents were discovered by the world-famous choreographer Kamel Ouali, who cast her for a lead role in the musical "Cleopatra," which toured throughout France, Belgium, and Switzerland from 2009-2011. Believing in her talents, Kamel Ouali then offered Bénédicte the opportunity to dance as a regular performer on Season 8 of Star Academy on TF1. Just after the tour of "Cleopatra" ended, Bénédicte then starred in the opera "Magdalena" at the Châtelet Theater in Paris.
While living in Paris, Bénédicte’s skills as an accomplished professional dancer were sought out by a number of musical artists, including Nicole Scherzinger, Shy'm, Florence Foresti, Jenifer, Christophe Willem, Lorie, Michaël Youn, Jean Roch and Matt Pokora, among others. Bénédicte accompanied Matt Pokora as a lead dancer on his "In the Pursuit of Happiness Tour.” Later, she also complemented Matt Pokora as his lead dancer at the 2013 NRJ Music Awards. Bénédicte has gained widespread recognition and praise through her many TV appearances on shows like X Factor UK, choreographed by Brian Friedman, and X Factor France, directed by choreographer Zack Reece. She also made an appearance in the popular film "Stars 80."
In February 2013, Bénédicte brought her career to Los Angeles, where she has had the opportunity to work with world-renounced musical artists like Bonnie McKee, with whom she performed on “Good Morning America.” She also recently performed as a lead dancer in Lady Gaga’s music video “Guy.” Bénédicte’s skills have made her a sought after talent for commercials, as she has performed in many ads for brands like UGG and The Hard Rock Café as well as in advertisements for The Grammys. She also shared her gifts with the world through her performances at the 2014 Premios TV Awards. Hoping to help others pursue their dreams, Bénédicte is also a dance instructor and she teaches dance training courses in several cities in France.
After signing with Bloc, Bénédicte has gained a well-respected reputation as being one of the best dancers in the world, skilled at a wide range of dancing styles including hip-hop, jazz/funk, ballet, and modern dance.
